Christian Education Ministries
We are all on a life-long journey of growth.

Nursery
Our Christian education begins in the nursery. We believe our youngest children learn about life through the love and care we extend to them. Our staffed nursery seeks to provide a nurturing environment with stimulating activities for our youngest children.

Sunday School - through grade 4
Special age-appropriate activities are provided for pre-school age children each week during the Sunday School hour and during worship services. While we encourage parents to help their children experience worship services, we realize that it's often difficult for them.
When students reach first grade, they begin attending Workshop Rotation Sunday School in our children's ministry center called "Creation Station." Kids spend several weeks experiencing Old and New Testament stories in ways designed to involve the various ways we learn - by hearing, by working with our hands, by thinking creatively, by making things, by singing, and so on. Each week is a different experience for them, keeping things lively and interesting.
It's like Vacation Bible School every Sunday!

Grades 5 and 6
Pre-Confirmation
We approach this time as one of transition between the typical children's activities of Sunday School and the Confirmation ministry young people begin in grade 7, Students begin to apply concepts they have learned in Sunday School to their own life. Discussion plays a much larger part in what is done here, frequently using videos to stimulate thinking.

Grades 7 and 8 - Confirmation
"What does it mean that I am a baptized follower of Jesus in today's world?" This is the question we endeavor to help our Confirmation students answer for themselves. Our confirmation program is mentor-based, meaning that students have adult guides who walk with them through the two-year process. Students attend classes, participate in worship services, give to others in service projects and learn to make good choices in life. On the day of the Confirmation they make a public Affirmation of Baptism and celebrate their adult membership in the church by distributing Holy Communion to their families, mentors and friends.

Youth Ministry
"Youth need a place of their own to relax and learn, to have fun and to build relationships." This truth motivated us to renovate an existing building for use as a youth center. The youth took the reigns and turned the building into the D.O.G. House (Depend On God.) Here they meet each Sunday to plan their own activities, such as work camps, fundraisers, service projects and so on. Several youth-led worship services each year also help them learn more about how the church worships. Of course, there's also good food, music and fellowship to make things as enjoyable as possible.

Adult Ministries
Jesus said, "Follow me." We all know that there is a lot involved in being his disciple. Our adult ministries provide people with what they need for spiritual growth and discipleship. God's word provides the foundation for small group gatherings. Men's and women's Bible studies meet through the week and Sunday discussion groups provide people with a chance to share their journey with others and to give and receive support. Lent provides a time for Wednesday evening gatherings which focus on small-group worship, discussion and fellowship.
